Jake Hughes

Chairman Deacon

Jake became a deacon in 1968. In 2014 he became Chairman Deacon in Chatsworth. Jake has
always been quick to jump in and help with anything he can. He has dedicated his life to his
church and church family. Jake and his beautiful wife Glenda were married 31 years before
she took her heavenly flight home. Together they were blessed with 6 wonderful children:
Jerine (Tony), Shelly (Greg), Marletta, Maranza (Mark), Jason (Christie), Landon (Leslie), 12
grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
When asked what he loves about our church in Chatsworth he said “I love how the people are
welcoming and care about one another”

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he
trusteth in thee.
His invitation to you:
I’d like to invite you to come and be with us sometime; we have good preachers and singers.
We have people from all walks of life and from many backgrounds. The pastor preaches with
